July 4, 2017 – Rufous-tailed Tailorbird (Orthotomus sericeus)

These tailorbirds are found in Southeast Asia, in parts of Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, and the Philippines. They eat very small insects, foraging in low undergrowth alone or in pairs. Breeding between the months of January and August, depending on the area of their range, they build nests within large leaves which they have sewn together.
