BlackCrestedBulbul

June 30, 2017 – Black-crested Bulbul (Pycnonotus flaviventris)

These bulbuls are found in parts of eastern India and Southeast Asia. They feed on fruit, berries, and small insects, foraging in forests and dense scrub with a bouncing flight similar to that of woodpeckers. Their neat nests are built in bushes, where females lay between two and four eggs. Parents feed small fruits and berries to the chicks.
