November 20, 2016 – Ashy Starling (Lamprotornis unicolor or Cosmopsarus unicolor)

Found in Tanzania and occasionally seen in Kenya, these starlings live in open woodlands and wooded grasslands. They eat insects, including termites, grasshoppers, and dragonflies, along with some fruits. Usually cooperative breeders, they form monogamous pairs, which often stay together for four or more years.
