cinnamonroller

September 19, 2016 – Cinnamon Roller or Broad-billed Roller (Eurystomus glaucurus)

These rollers are found in woodlands across central Africa and in Madagascar. They eat insects, including beetles, grasshoppers, bees, wasps, ants, and termites, usually hunting in the late afternoon. Breeding at different times of year depending on their range, they nest in unlined tree cavities. Their call is a buzzy, growling sound.
