August 14, 2016 – Chestnut-headed Tesia or Chestnut-headed Ground Warbler (Oligura castaneocoronata)

Requested by: @gepwin

Found from the Himalayas into southern China and parts of southeast Asia, these small warblers live in broadleaf, mixed broadleaf and coniferous forests, and bamboo. Though the details of their diet are not well known, it is thought to be mostly spiders, along with some other invertebrates. Males perform courtship displays for females, perching high in a bush with their wings drooped and their beaks pointing up.
